Chestnut Hill Academy has grown significantly over the years—increasing in size from 450 students to over 550 in just fifteen years. Many of the buildings on CHA’s spectacular campus were not designed to support the needs of today’s student body. The school’s Master Planning process helped to determine that some of the facilities needed to be upgraded through an expansion. The Campaign seeks to improve the campus with the addition of new buildings that are in line with the current charm of the campus in addition to supporting the programmatic needs of today’s student body.
Below is the outline of CHA's Master Plan and the Strategic Objectives that provided the framework for its formulation.
Master Plan Strategic Objectives
-Improve & enhance existing campus and programs
-Utilize existing facilities & building footprints; preserve open spaces.
-Respect Chestnut Hill community & neighbors.
-Upgrade & expand Student Commons in a central location.
-Upgrade & expand science facilities.
-Upgrade & expand athletic facilities as a single building on the south end of campus.
-Address existing campus storm water deficiencies.
