Mission Statement
At CHA our diversity efforts center on a process defined as the way we think about and teach to the multiplicity that our school environment embodies, including race, religion, sexual orientation, and culture, and as well, the way we consider the attitudes and perspectives of each.
CHA has a long-standing and well-respected tradition of expertly providing for the particular needs of boys in education. Here, we are developing strong core knowledge of how to manage the intersection of diversity of culture and learning competence. Conscious of the emotional, behavioral, and developmental processes uniquely experienced by boys, we are committed to a tradition of excellence in education for Each Boy, Every Day that promotes high regard in him for who he is and will become while preparing him for leadership in a dynamic, inter-cultural world.
Continuing our mission to expand upon a growing culture of inclusion and equity, we
- endeavor to seek and maintain diversity of students, faculty, and staff, and foster respect for the uniqueness of each
- enhance the diversity and multiculturalism within our curriculum and programs
- support teachers’ efforts in preparing our students to sustain excellence and good character while working harmoniously within a global community
- engage in dialog and develop understanding in relationships within and between groups
- review and evaluate our efforts in meeting our diversity goals
